Power Echols is a former collegiate football linebacker for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2021 to 2024. Echols hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, where he attended Julius L. Chambers High School. Echols signed with the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2020. Over four seasons, he appeared in 52 games and recorded 306 tackles,189 solo. He also accumulated 7 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and 3 interceptions. In 2023, He was a Third-Team All-ACC selection 2023 and an All-ACC honorable mention in 2024. Echols was one of 329 prospects invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he ran a 4.73-second 40-yard dash, recorded a 37-inch vertical jump, and clocked in a 1.59-second 10-yard split. As of April 2025, Power Echols has taken part in several NIL partnerships. He joined Heels4Life, the official NIL collective for student-athletes at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He collaborated with PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro on August 15 and on October 24, 2023. PORCH is a grassroots organization that provides hunger relief to families in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro areas.
